Review of Patch Adams (1998) by Jason — 29 Dec 2008
I'd say this, "RV", and "Mrs. Doubtfire" are my favorite Robin Williams flicks, but this one is probably my favorite. I thought "Patch Adams" was brilliant, with tons of deep laughs and memorable parts (the skeleton, the gynecologists seeing how their hospital was decorated, his antics to make kids laugh, etc.
). I even enjoyed watching him try to convince the fellow students to accept him. It indeed proves to be hilarious, sad, and inspirational, all in a perfect balance. Great job of convincing the audience that "laughter is the best medicine.
