Review of Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid (1973) by Mari J — 18 Feb 2008
Excellent Western. I always love to see people take on multiple roles in films and Bob Dylan does just that. His soundtrack is brilliantly blended with the film and his appearance is all the more mysterious.
Sam Peckinpah is one of the greats for his "break-out" Westerns and "Billy The Kid" is a loose cannon (in a positive sense). It hits from any angle possible and the hits just keep on coming.
Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid is a high recommendation for those Western lovers or non-Western lovers. It goes beyond the scope of what Westerns were and still are.
