Review of Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid (1973) by Ruben F — 05 Jan 2009
Coburn does a great job as garrett the conflicted sheriff; he's been hired to take out his old friend billy the kid. a good story about friendship, corruption and change in the "old west" - where men like garrett and the kid are relics.
if you like the later cycle of westerns, which is characterized not by innocent settlers being harassed and killed by indians but by being harassed, killed and exploited by their own kind, then you'll like this.
