Review of Passport to Pimlico (1949) by Jenny D — 09 Nov 2008
If whimsical post-war comedy is your thing then this is one of the best of them. A lovely performance from Margret Rutherford is an added bonus to this fine Ealing Comedy about a bunch of enterprising Londoners who suddenly find some burried treasure and evidence of the fact that their street in Pimlico was once gifted to the Duch of Burgundy.
Watch this one, KIND HEARTS & CORONETS and the LAVENDER HILL MOB for a real fest of Ealing.
