Review of Passion Play (2011) by Jim H — 07 Jun 2011
*1/2 (out of four).
The only thing I liked much about "Passion Play" was the light, soulful, bluesy score. The rest of the film is a mess. It attempts to create a low budget mood piece, but the only mood it conjures is boredom.
The plot is pretty strange. Mickey Rourke is a down and out musician who wanders through the desert and comes across a circus. There he meets a beautiful young woman (Megan Fox) who happens to actually have wings. He fall for her, but others also want her.
The strange, dull little film is not helped much by Megan Fox's passionless performance.
