Original was passable. This one is horribly cast and scripted, scott Thomas as the boss woman to take down was believable, mcadams was a horrible miscasting. Beyond that the artificiality just rings as inauthentic, even if you were to try to pass it off as "style", it doesn't work, it just feels awkward.
Behaviors which can be explained away as just being "French" and foreign in the original come across as bizarre here.
