Though not well received by many critics the movie does present an entertaining though predictable portrayal of a science fiction story inspired by Cordwainer Smith. It demonstrates the weaknesses and strengths of humanity, albeit mixed with fantasy.
If you don't expect too much, you may enjoy it. There are many much worse movies with better critical acclaim.
