Awesome film. I love it, I'm really glad I bought it on DVD, and I'll watch it again and again. I connect with all of the characters and am deeply touched by the tenderness they portray towards each other.
The plot draws on classic and familiar sci-fi themes, yet is original, plausible and deeply moving. The direction is superb and the cinematography outstanding. I love every aspect of this film and put in my all-time favourites list.
