A big budget SciFi tale with a small but outstanding cast, Passengers is enjoyable if predictable escapist fare. The less than daring conclusion is nearly as satisfying as it is disappointing, but the Lawrence/Pratt romance makes this Robinson Crusoe in Space epic work at nearly every level.
