Review of Passengers (2016) by Fin N — 27 Mar 2017

This movie is proof critics aren't always right and lets be honest sometimes they are downright pretentious. This is a simple sci-fi, romance, drama film. For the rest of us who aren't professional critics(why is that even a real job?) this movie does just fine. It entertains, which what movies do.

I enjoyed it even with some glaring plot holes (1 med-doc for 5000 passengers) but that doesn't stop the movie from having the audience from having a good time. Never really a fan of JL or CP, but there was good chemistry between them. The visuals, concepts and characters were interesting. The ending does what the Director said he wanted it to do, which was lead to the audience asking questions. Nothing wrong with that. A movie that stimulates conversation is a good thing.
