Review of Passengers (2016) by Harold H — 15 Aug 2017

I gave this film five stars only to compensate for the bad reviews. The stupidity of the audience reviews is almost as bad as that of the critics. I don't claim to be a film authority, but a few clumsy lines and a somewhat corny plot do not constitute dreck.

Yes, Jim was a dick to wake up Aurora in the first place, and the beginning of their reconciliation was a little bit forced (but just a little)--but the wheel came 'round in a way that equals some of the best plays ever written. I don't mean to aggrandize Passengers, but the critics (both amateur and professional) who trash it have, if I may be so crude, their heads up their asses.
