It should have been better, but it's decent for what it is. If you're expecting a more thought-provoking sci-fi movie, such as Interstellar, Arrival, or The Martian, you won't find it in Passengers.
However, if you're looking for an enjoyable love story set in an epic sci-fi universe, Passengers is not that bad. It's just predictable and the movie falls apart in the third act.
