Review of Passage to Marseille (1944) by Jacob N — 04 Mar 2008
The movie has many similarities with Casablanca, including many actors, the director, WWII, and a strong affinity with the free French.
The film uses flashbacks within flashbacks for its narrative structure, coming back to the present for the film's conclusion. The ending is a little sappy, but it was made during the war, so I can give it a pass in that regard.
