Review of Passage to Marseille (1944) by Mike K — 07 Oct 2008
Reunites much of the cast and crew of Casablanca for another round of pro-French WW2 propaganda. Doesn't hold a candle to its predecessor, but is not without interest. In what is a surprisingly gritty adventure, Bogie portrays a crusading French (!) journalist who must lead an escape from Devil's Island.
Beautifully photographed by James Wong Howe. Worth a look.
