Review of Party Monster (2003) by Jason D — 23 Feb 2008
I consider myself pretty open-minded but I really thought that this was just really too much for me with all of the over-the-top gay characters, raving, techno humping, alternative drugging, silliness that went on within this. It's also like an alumni of Robot Chicken people, which honestly fooled me into thinking that there were going to be some funny moments in this film. Ok, we get it Macaulay Culkin, you are unique and an individual that won't be tied down to your Kevin character from Home Alone. Ok, I get it. Seth Green was absolutely hilarious until I realized that he was playing the role serious. Marilyn Manson was wasted, as were Fez from That 70's Show, and John Stamos.
A lot of hype but little to back it up. People who are really like this should have gotten better attention from their parents. I understand being unique and individualistic but c'mon. Seriously?
