Review of Party Monster (2003) by Pegah P — 13 Mar 2010
A very odd movie that's not for the mainstream audience. seth green and macaulay culkin are two club kids fighting for attention in new york's busy nightlife. each of them hog the spotlight in underground clubs with their bizarre costumes, drug usage, and overtly flamboyant approaches to everything.
what could be more confusing, you ask? well, how about marilyn manson playing a transsexual dancer, dylan mcdermott as a one-eyed club owner, and wilmer valderrama as culkin's gay lover. this movie really doesn't have too much of a story other than following green's and culkin's characters around, and it really pushes your senses to how much you can really understand about human nature.
overall, it's really a movie to see if you're a fan of seth green or macaulay culkin. other than that, I don't really recommend it.
