This movie is fascinating in such a tragic and shocking way. In fact, Michael Alig himself is fascinating... also in a tragic and shocking way. This film and its actors perfectly portray the craziness and violence of Michael Alig, his friends and his lifestyle.
It's a bit tongue in cheek, but at the heart of it is something soul-rending and strangely beautiful.
