Review of Parts: The Clonus Horror (1979) by Kendra C — 05 Nov 2007
That's right, kids. I reviewed another one of Mike Nelson's commentaries. I always wondered why Hollywood always remade good movies. I thought that remaking bad films would make those bad films better. Yeeeeeaaaaaahhhhh, not so much. Parts: The Clonus Horror was remade into The Island. Both movies sucked really bad. I will no longer complain about remakes of good movies. (Okay, I probably will, but it's nice to be disproven every once in a while.).
Most of this movie suffers from low-budget syndrome and lack of directorial talent. (It's actually a little depressing to watch the interview with director Robert S. Fiveson because he is so serious about his craft that he clearly knows nothing about.).
Yeah, the story is political. But at the end of the day, not really. It's about the use of cloning for organ donation. Sure, this concept has come up in the news in regards to human rights, but to look at that political fiasco through the eyes of this ridiculous movie is absurd. What's really depressing is the heavy-handed dialogue this movie presents as logical arguements. No, Clonus Horror, you just come off as a little cloned retarded.
