Review of Paris, Texas (1984) by Jen K — 27 Jan 2008
Am I the only one who was really repulsed by the violence just out on the edges of this film? I found it haunting and disturbing. The trauma of the major characters' pasts seemed to always be about to re-occur.
That said, Wenders is very, very stylish. That last scene downtown just stays with you.
