Review of Paris, Texas (1984) by James S — 27 Apr 2008
An absolutely flawless independent masterpiece. The combination of Robby Muller's photography, Ry Cooder's soundtrack, and the talent of Wim Wenders blends miraculously into a narrative driven by the hidden emotional weight of the characters--the final scenes in particular are some of modern cinema's best moments, at least I believe so.
