Review of Paris, Texas (1984) by Jonathan M — 31 Jan 2010
"Paris, Texas" is touted as Wim Wenders best American film and it is both filled with really beautiful shots (though the red/green scheme is a bit overdone) and excellent acting (even if the scenes with the kid wear), headlined by Harry Dean Stanton.
The "peep show" sequence is a notably great meta-moment that is pivotal in a story that is strong without being overly complex.
