Review of Paris, Texas (1984) by David A — 10 Apr 2013
Paris, Texas is one of those rare movies that is as beautiful as it is extraordinary. The movie delivers on so many levels that it would take too long to enumerate them.
Without a doubt this is Wim Wenders best movie, and is fully worthy of all the plaudits it has received over the years since it was released.
Equally stunning is the soundtrack provided by Ry Cooder, which has become so familiar that there can hardly be a TV programme that hasn't used it when portraying a desert scene.
