Review of Paris 36 (2008) by Gustavo B — 04 Apr 2009
Less than the sum of its parts. The artifice of the movie completely undercuts any darkness or gravitas that might be going for it. There's no coherent statement about art, love, worker's resistance, or history in the movie.
It's a Moulin Rouge wannabe without any real energy.
