One of the most overlooked films of the late '80s. Steve Martin, Mary Steenburgen, Jason Robards, Dianne Wiest and crew are all in top form! Wiest's Oscar nomination was well deserved, and Martin's performance is quite possibly the pinnacle of his career.
He was unfortunately overlooked.
