Review of Parenthood (1989) by Stewart S — 20 Jul 2013
8.0.
While most casual movie goers give this film only fair marks, I believe Parenthood to be an excellent film and the critics agree. The screen play allows character revelation and development on a wide scale. The actors deliver aided of course by superb direction by Ron Howard. Themes addressed are pertinent and hit the mark. The film is at once a comedy but remarkably serious and insightful in portraying issues that hit home with all of us. It is a favorite film of mine. I think it is superbly done across the board.
