Review of Parenthood (1989) by Daren Y — 25 Jul 2007
You know those movies where Steve Martin plays a dad and then he has to learn a touching lesson about life and parenthood by the end? I'm a sucker for those, and this is the best of them, with a terrific cast and a lot of really, really funny moments, including such classic lines as "He likes to butt his head against things," and "If she's so smart, how come she's getting into our NEIGHBORS' car?" It's sappy, but it's sappy in a good way.
