Review of Paranormal Activity (2007) by Ameen K — 15 Jul 2015

Before watching this movie, I knew I was going to get freaked out. Paranormal shit freaks me out. I was a bit nervous beforehand because I knew I wouldn't be getting any sleep for the next couple of days.

But being the horror buff I am, I called up some of my friends and we watched it late at night. This movie doesn't need blood or gore to scare the living shit out of you. Paranormal Activity defines the horror genre without relying on blood and guts like horror movies now do.

The demon or spirit or whatever the hell is haunting them does some creepy ass things. It's really creepy, it starts off as just noises then builds up quickly. I think the scariest part was the ending because after it ends, there is no music during the end credits, just silence.

All of my friends, including me, just stood in awe after it finished. This movie started off a little slow, not as slow as other horror movies, but still a bit slow. If you want to watch a scary movie with your friends and be terrified, pop this in.

Paranormal activity has become a franchise now and it's beginning to get lazier and lazier. They should've stopped at the third one rather than making everyone get sick of the franchise. This movie is scary and a fun time with your friends, it's just not a movie I want to watch by myself.
