Review of Paranoid Park (2007) by Monin S — 10 Aug 2008
A visually beautiful, if somewhat insightful dive into the apparently monotonous life of a teenager who, when abruptly shaken out of apathy, struggles (too) quietly against guilt. It is unclear though whether Van Sant also criticizes the boredom and emptiness of many a teen's existence.
