Review of Paranoid Park (2007) by Sean L — 09 Jan 2009

I should really like this movie. It's well directed and I generally like slow meditative films. the problem is that the acting is almost universally atrocious. I hated the main character. He was so annoying and every other kid in the movie seemed like kids reciting dialogue.

I never felt that there was a genuine moment involving the lead. Because I disliked the characters, I was less forgiving of the plot and grew tired of it quickly. I feel bad for not liking it, but that's just the way it is.
