I respect the hell out of this movie. I think in the end it just wasn't my cup of tea. The lead was very good for a newcomer and that scene at the train yard was a real shocker. I also loved the soundtrack.
It was my first foray into indie Van Sant and it made enough of an impression on me to visit it again.
