Review of Paradise Now (2005) by Rene T — 31 Oct 2007
Very well produced and poignant film. It's slow, but I liked it a lot. And it's really not as political as you may think. This film takes itself seriously (my implication here is that "political" movies do NOT ever take themselves seriously but usually parody what they are trying to "illuminate").
You should take this seriously, too, if you like movies with good characters and good drama. Leave your politics at the door and watch a human drama and you'll enjoy it.
