Review of Paprika (2006) by Natan M — 08 Jan 2012
This movie has a lot in common with Christopher Nolan's Inception, and can be loved for many of the same reasons. However, this movie actually came across as being the better film. The dreamworld is much more believable than the sets of Nolan's.
It feels like your'e really watching a dream, rather than watching an action movie that only reminds us it's a dream by cutting to the sleeping people. The characters and plot run wilder, but also much deeper, and in a much shorter amount of time.
Kon's work is, as always, at its finest. This is a movie you cannot afford to miss out on.
