Review of Papillon (1973) by Alex H — 09 Nov 2007
One of the great prison movies. Makes you appreciate freedom. McQueen was good in the role as the strong Papillon, and Hoffman was really the right man to play the intellectual Louis Dega. A cool detail; the final credits run over shots of the real ruins of the penal colony in French Guyana; pretty grim stuff.
