Review of Papillon (1973) by Dave R — 19 Jan 2011
A pretty good film about a man sentenced to a french penal colony in the 1930s. mcqueen plays the title character and hoffman stars as his friend dega. it's supposedly based on a true story. it's a pretty amazing tale nevertheless.
at 2 hours and 20 minutes long I found it to be a little too long. but it doesn't take away from the film.great performances by the lead actors.
