Review of Paper Towns (2015) by Moya W — 04 Nov 2015
I remember reading the book The Fault in Our Stars and then watching the movie and how amazed I was that the movie managed to be so true to the book.
Paper Towns is the second John Green book that has been adapted into a movie and I read this book as well. This time I don't feel as amazed when watching the movie adaptation. I felt that there was too much voiceovers, even for me. I felt that a few of the scenes that worked in the book, just came out as lame and too much in the movie.
The movie didn't really have a beginning, middle and end in the same way that the book does. It ended up being watchable, and entertaining at times, it wasn't bad but I was still hoping for something more.
