Review of Paper Towns (2015) by Ben T — 02 Aug 2015
This is one of those rare movies that, if you ask me, surpassed the quality of the book. While I enjoyed the novel quite a bit, the movie had changes that I at first thought would make me like it less, but overall I enjoyed it more because this version had the story that I'd wished the book had.
And having read the book I understood more about the story and could feel more emotion in the movie because of the book. And the movie is full of great performances from relatively unknown actors that I hope get good roles because of this film ( I'm pretty sure the girl who played Margo is playing Enchantress in Suicide Squad ).
And the movie has other good elements to it, like many relatable characters, a great coming-of-age premise, and a good soundtrack. This movie is a must-see for fans of the book or fans of fun teen movies.
