Review of Paper Moon (1973) by Marc L — 04 Jul 2011
I guarantee you will either like or love this movie. Starring real-life father and daughter Ryan O'Neal and Tatum, this is not only one of few movies to effectively feature a father-daughter relationship, but it does so in a con movie set during the Great Depression.
Given the combination of film nostalgia and the tragic setting, the entire production - from the acting to the unpredictable story - reveal a sweet cynicism that always rings of earnestness and truth.
An underseen classic, it's available for instant streaming on Netflix.
