Paper Heart suffers from few things. It has an extremely annoying main actress. I realize how subjective and unfair that is, but it's simply impossible to get past for me. And it also has small moments where it needs to scream at you that you're watching an indie film, just in case you forgot.

However, everything else is very good. The film has this pervading sweetness saturating every scene, and that goes a long way to maintain consistency and likability. It's also pretty funny, and astute, if simple.
