Review of Papaya: Love Goddess of the Cannibals (1978) by Lee ? — 10 Jul 2011
Soft-core sleaze about a seductress who starts luring nuclear scientists to their deaths to prevent them going ahead with plans to build a nuclear power station in the centre of her village on a small Caribbean island.
Not much cannibalism going on here, just a couple of brief bloody moments and a bit of pig slaughter to add some shock value. The gratuitous sex and nudity take centre stage in this one which drag on for too long, it needed a bit more bloodshed to break it all up.
Sirpa Lane sulks her way through the film looking like a manic depressive... thank God shes blessed with a beautiful body! If you're in the mood for a bit of perversion then this will suit your needs.
Best watched in the english dub for added entertainment.
