Review of Paparazzi (2004) by Bobby W — 16 Aug 2009
Hilariously wrong. Taken at face value, it is a vile piece of trash which was probably made to vent the unjustifiable frustrations of the Hollywood star who put up the money. The cast of D-listers really don't try at all, largely because they have nothing to work with in the first place.
Part of me absolutely loves this film though. I saw it by chance on its opening weekend, and then rented the DVD to show one of my friends just HOW BAD it is. Watching it a second time, I realised that if viewed as a satire rather than as a straight thriller, it's massively entertaining.
It stuns me that this was made, but in all honesty, it's one of the best bad films I've ever seen.
