Guillermo del Toro's 2006 masterpiece is one film to revolt against the sacred laws of cinema and craft an intricate balance of fantasy, war, childhood, lost innocence, morality and, ultimately, life.
No further words are needed to describe a masterpiece so riveting in its direction, so beautiful in its imagery, so utterly elevating in its meaning.
