Superb throughout. Two horror stories for the price of one. That of a young girl in the dark fantasy world of fauns and fairies. And that of the adult world, the ruthless domination of a sadistic dictator in post civil war Spain.
Enchanting at times, truly horrific at other times. A film that excels in every department.
