Review of Pan's Labyrinth (2006) by Agustín S — 07 Feb 2016
Impressive on an artistic and cinematic perspective while consistently outstanding in terms of story, setting (and symbolism for eagle-eyed viewers); Del Toro's vision of opression and brutality battling against innocence is as haunting as it is hopeful, thanks to it's wholeness and excellence both in the techical (with it's art design and cinematography deserving the most praise) and the narrative facets of the film (with an outstanding cast and performances).
