Review of Pan's Labyrinth (2006) by Luke H — 14 Mar 2013
As an adolescent beginning to enter the years of adulthood, Pan's Labyrinth nourished this mid-point with reminders of childhood fantasies, realities and sincere emotion towards the past and future of being a being of this Earth.
The film cleverly paradoxes the grotesque creativity of an outwardly-chaste girl while also layering on the ruthlessness of political dominance during Spanish Civil War.
It's contrasting, beautiful, and a film for the deep thinker ready to burst out a plea of passion. Truly a master piece for the ages to come.
