Review of Pan's Labyrinth (2006) by Alexander E — 16 Nov 2015
This movie made my day. It was like a disturbing Alice In Wonderland. Totally worth two hours of my life. It had fantastic visuals, and an insanely amazing story. The story is so great. Guillermo Del Toro has the greatest imagination out of any director in the movie producing business.
And whoever wrote the story to this mind blowing film is awesome. A young girl is on her way to her stepfathers house. She believes in fairytales, and she is the only one in the film who believes in them.
But when she goes to the Captains house, she discovers fairy's, a giant toad, and many other awesome creatures. She is sent by a faun to complete missions, and the war and her evil stepfather prevent her from finishing fast.
It is very disturbing, and the violence is pretty graphic. But without a doubt, an instant classic.
