Aside from some of the most frighting and impressive monsters in film history (a standard of Guillermo del Toro), this mature fairy tale blends childhood fantasy and horrific war perfectly. It is filled with top notch acting (Ivana Baquero and Doug Jones being stand outs), masterful direction from Guillermo del Toro, and a dark and complex story that will make you question what you just saw.
A must see for any film fan.
