Review of Panic Room (2002) by Campbell P — 03 Feb 2015
Panic Room shows that with a very simple plot, it gets more complex when the story goes on. It is smaller then David Fincher's other films, but he still put his strengths into this. Jodie Foster, Jared Leto, Dwight Yoakam, and Forest Whitaker are amazing in this.
Kristen Stewart is really good in it which really surprised me after seeing her in Twilight. David Fincher and David Koepp knew what to do with the story, and really made it smart, while also having dumb moments that are darkly funny.
It has some great suspense, memorable characters, and great villains. The camerawork is really impressive, it gets really tense and it made me feel like I was there and actually know the whole house. Panic Room is my favorite home invasion film and is way better than You're Next.
