It's not a question of "if" you will fall in love with Louise Brooks...it's a question of "when". Iconic, naturalistic performance couched in style, style, style. Though I have quibbles with the frequency of Pabst's mismatched eyelines and spatial inconsistencies--I'm a stodgy douche--I do applaud his dreadful sense of pacing.
If you surrender to its slow, inexorable pull, the tension in certain sequences is near-blinding.
