Review of Pan (2015) by Jeff W — 21 Jan 2016
I was very hesitant to pick this movie up at the redbox, after watching it with my daughters and wife, we are all very sorry we didn't go watch it in the theater. Hollywood seems to pump out reboots, and prequels at such a high rate that most of the time I just assume the film won't be worth watching.
This is a refreshing new look at an old tale. It's visually pleasing, with enough action to keep the adults entertained while family friendly enough for the little ones. I can't fathom how this only has a 44%.
I found it to be truly enjoyable. The rendition of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Blackbeard and company was stupendous.
