Review of Pan (2015) by William F — 20 Jul 2016

It's good, but not great. It's visually impressive, though there are times were it feels like it's trying too much to be unique in its style. Hugh Jackman is great with is overacting, and Garrett Hedlund makes for a fun Hook.

However, the boy playing Peter Pan himself isn't that good, only getting a few really good moments throughout the film, and Rooney Mara plays an underdeveloped Tiger Lily that really ends up being a damsel in distress for way too long.

And the story's been done to death: as I said, it's really the visuals that make this movie fun, even if they're not that believable or realistic.
